siren

My friend Kat posted a recent blog on her dirty dozen favorite beauty products. I went out and immediately got the Revlon Siren lipstick and LOVE it. I would never had taken a second glance at the color because I am so fair, but she convinced me to give it a go and I couldn't be happier. I love the retro look of the color and planned a whole outfit around it.

another great library find

Our latest adventure to the library brought upon this amazing book by Laetitia Devernay, titled The Conductor. It has no words, but has the most beautiful illustrations of a conductor who climbs a fantastic giant tree, spreads his arms and begins an orchestra of music from the trees. The leaves are released and soar upwords like birds into a symphony in the sky. He then bows, climbs back down the tree and plants his own seed. The patterns and colors are gorgeous as well as it's tall thin frame. The boys loved it and we take turn making up a the story to each page.

jack's art

Jack is our little artist. I want to scan this spring drawing he brought home and make it into a big poster (translation: In Spring the birds came back adn the flowers and the trees come back). I love the bird flying down and the blossoms on the trees. He's really into how things grow and I love how he included the roots for the flowers.

The other drawing made me melt. He has "journal" time in Kindergarten every morning before school starts, and this is what he did yesterday. Such a sweetheart. The best part is that he drew himself wearing a darth vador shirt... red lightsabor included. Awesome.

one of my new loves

I happened upon this skirt at Target and fell in love with it's emerald green color, stretchy material and heavenly pencil skirt lines. I could have bought one in every color. And I can already tell from one day of wear, it's going to be my favorite.

Can true love be found in clothing... cause this skirt makes my heart swoon.
