it's on!

Just to let you all know... our favorite snow shack, cup o sno, has officially opened for business for the summer season, as well as opened a second location.

Cup o sno has THE best shaved ice and the most yummy non-syrupy (is that word?) tasting flavors. Word is out that the sandy location had over a 60 minute wait this years
on the day of it's seasonal grand re-opening. It is that good.

Here I am enjoying nectarine with ice cream at the bottom. Boohyeah! I couldn't be happier. I guess it can rain all it wants, as long as I can eat like it's getting closer to summer.

Go get yourself one. You won't be sorry you did:
2640 west 9000 south, west jordan (in the reams parking lot near the conecutters)

or

8725 highland drive, sandy (in the fiesta village shopping center near the car wash)

batman

Jack is thoroughly obsessed with Batman. He's been him twice for Halloween (probably will be again this year), has more action figures then he can keep track of, and can usually be found flying around the house as him, chasing the Joker and other such villains.

He recently has started some portraitures. This one is my favorite.

ugh

Conversation between me and the checkout girl at the grocery store last night:

Her: Oh, hi! Where are your boys?

Me: Home in bed thank goodness.

Her: You look different.

Me: Oh yeah?

Her: Yeah? (very perplexed) Oh wait, I know what it is. You're wearing makeup.

Nice.
For the record, I'm always wearing makeup when I'm out of the house.
And hey, I just had a kid. Wait, no I didn't... that was 6 months ago.
I guess I need to try harder.

oh I can't wait

This solo album of Eddie Vedder comes out next Tuesday. I can hardly wait. Eddie Vedder is as cool as it gets.

He says he hopes that Ukulele Songs would encourage listeners to step away from their computers and televisions and make some music of their own, preferably with friends. I love that.

Here is a listen.

6 months

My little max-a-million turned 6 months this week. Time flies when your not really sleeping. Oh I love this little lima bean. He is so happy and mello and puts up with so much "in your face" attention from his two big brothers.

I really can't believe he was ever this small and saggy-baggy. His thighs have plumped right up and the mohawk I've loved so much is starting to finally flop over like an old man come-over.

We love you max!

jack's first lesson on girls

Our cousin told us to come pick up some used bikes out of his garage that his son had long since outgrown. Since Jack's big wheel was just run over (a nice neighborhood kid decided to borrow, leave it somewhere it could get run over, and then hide it back in our garage thank you very much), we decided it was time to make Jack learn how to ride the real deal.

We were all very excited about this, the bike got cleaned up, we got a helmet and some training wheels and he was off... very slowly of course... with a lot of whimpering and complaining that he couldn't go fast enough, but he was off. My heart skipped a beat. He looked so big and grown up all of a sudden. I panicked a bit. What was happening. Had I not noticed up to this point?

Very discouraged, he begged us to take him off his new bike. As Jack is dismounting his ride, a cute neighborhood girl from down the street zooms past on her own bright pink bike with training wheels and calls out, "hiiiii jackkkk." Immediately, Jack is scrambling to get back on his bike. "I want to follow her mom." Then after realizing he's not going to make it fast enough, "Will you push me? Hurry!"

Already a prisoner to the lure of the opposite sex. While I know he thinks "girls are gross" most of the time and hates the idea of anything romantic or movies that have kissing... he wanted to be where ever she was going. It was hilarious.

Better learn now Jack, you'll be chasing those ponytails most your life. Get used to it. And try to come up with a better plan that doesn't involve your mom tagging along. It could also help to stop picking out the strawberry shortcake stickers from the doctors office. It's hard to look tough with that on your chest.

read this

Ry bought me this book for mother's day. I have been laughing through it non-stop.
Man I love me some Tina Fey.
