the songbirds
Monday night I tagged along to one of Sarah, Paul and Ryan's house concerts. I wish I could go to more of these... but they are always late at night, and I have to use my babysitters wisely throughout the week and month. I was happy I got to see this one though. Sarah's new CD is coming out in October, and even though I have listened to it over and over (Ry did the artwork and sang on it, so we get a free copy of course) I loved hearing the songs live. They all took turns playing their own songs. Ryan, Paul and Sarah have the best harmony together. I loved hearing Paul's Carver Town and 6 O'clock News - and Ry's Peaceful Mind. House concerts rule.

scott pilgrim vs. the world
This movie ruled.
That being said, I can guarantee everyone I know will hate it.
Thanks for watching the boys Aly so we could have our hot date out on the town.

foamy lather at wheeler farm
Today we had our first adventure to Wheeler Farm. We met up with my cute friend Tara and her adorable Hank (who Jack is still calling "Tank") and kissable Mae. It was too blazin hot, but a fun day out. Plus, I adore miss Tara, and was happy we finally got around to having an actual play date.
I spent most the time trying to stop my little nephew, who I was tending, from pushing Cash around or stealing sticks from Hank. He is BFFs with Jack and doesn't really want anyone else to be included in their gang. I was in quite the foamy lather by the time we reached the car.
We got to feed the ducks, climb on some tractors, and look at some smelly animals. The best part was sitting on a blanket in the shade while the boys ignored all my calls to not lean too close to the river as they threw in sticks, rocks and other dirty finds.
I think we will go back when the weather turns crisp for fall.
Thanks for the play date Tmama. Now let's go out just you and me.

go see it
Last night Ryan and I went to see Inception. I loved it - and if any of you haven't seen it yet, don't wait for it to leave the theaters... I think it is a must-see-on-the-big-screen kind of movie. How much do I love Christopher Nolan? The cast is amazing, so many big names I didn't even realize were in it... really I want to see it again. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time.

I fell of the face of the earth
Somewhere I disappeared. When I logged in to my blog this morning, I couldn't believe it had been a month since last entry. What have I been doing all month? Being pregnant I suppose... I'd rather nap then blog at this point.
We found out we are having another boy. Whenever someone hears I am having another boy they start laughing - which I don't how to interpret, or they ask me if I was sad it wasn't a girl. Ryan and I weren't the type to get pregnant till we had a boy and a girl and whomever came in between. We just thought we wanted more kids... and here we are. I love my little men. They are monsters, but so much fun, and I'm excited to add another to this already motley crew. I would have been just as excited with a girl. Although, I think the grandmas would have been a little more excited that they got to go by cute new girly clothes. So sorry grandmas.
Jack started school. It was hard to be too sad about my little man being all grown up for school because he was so excited to go. We got the backpack, some new shoes and sent him on his way. This has only been his first week, but he loves it. I love all the little art projects he comes home with. The papers of him practicing his name. It is so cute. I also like having the one on one time with the Cashman. Being the second child, you don't really get that. And number three will be here before we know it, so I'm trying to spoil him just a bit before that happens.
I wish I had more to report on for a month gone by... but that is it for now.
Hopefully August will prove a better month for blogging, or at least what is left of it.
