a happy find

I stumbled across this book at the library when picking out Jack's latest reads for the week. It has easily become one of my new favorite children's book authors/illustrators. I actually recognize his stuff from the Sideway's movie posters and some Communications Arts magazines.

I think I am going to purchase this fire engine print for Jack's room. I also love the book because it is about a little kid from the mountains who visits New York and just thinks everything is "wow" - kind of like my first and well, every visit to New York was and is. Super cute.

Here is a link to some of his stuff: Robert Neubecker

I'm sad I didn't see you guys at Wilco. And I'm sad you weren't in the back with me after the show so we could tell John Stirrat we have to hurry home to watch Flight Of The Conchords. Good times. Bdog missed out!

Those illustrations are so cool.

We are going to one-up you and kidnap the illustrator and make him draw new scenarios on the wall each week. Each one will involve John Stirratt in different costumes- astronaut, fireman, bassist, hospital patient.
